My sincere sympathies to Dave’s family and friends. This is such sad news. I know many of us will remember Dave fondly for his passion for cycling, skiing and the great outdoors; those lovely summer barbeques on his houseboat and the group outings he organized downtown. Many of us will also remember and admire him for his generous support and tireless commitment to the young Cuban racers in Holguin – for years, he brought bike parts, clothes, enthusiasm and encouragement to the young cyclists there. He’ll be sadly missed.

Dave had been a cycling companion for years although I lost touch with him after his move from the Bathurst and Bloor area. Ironically several of us had just been talking about him and we were wondering how we could get in touch... so this announcement comes as a shock. Dave was a cheerful sole and his approach to living life 'his own way' was refreshing and inspirational. I'll continue thinking of him and I'm sure we'll be riding together again at some point. My condolences to the family...

May I express my deep felt condolences to all of David's brothers and families. It is a very difficult time to realize that communication with David has to be found within one's own way. I love you all and am with you all in spirit at this celebration of David's Life.

Looking at his picture took me back to some wonderful, happy memories.

God bless David, his Life, and his family and friends in their sorrow.
With love and caring
Carole
